We are organizational anthropologists who believe in a people-first approach based in curiosity, empathy and data. Using techniques such as direct observation, immersion, interviews , data collection and more, we quickly uncover and deeply understand organizational culture as well as behaviors, patterns and experiences. Using our unique anthropological perspective, we then analyze and interpret findings and partner with clients to translate them into meaningful and measurable actions and strategies.
Whether we are driving cultural transformation or focusing on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, our work is anchored in these unique and core principles:
- Culture is co-created by all employees (not just leadership) and consists of the emotions, behaviors and beliefs that are recognized, reinforced and rewarded both explicitly and implicitly.
- Culture is a living system. It is influenced by the beliefs and behaviors of individuals and groups as well as organizational processes and practices. True cultural transformation addresses both the individual and the organization.
- Culture is shared; however, how one experiences culture is personal and uniquely subjective. Creating a common language and framework for individuals to share their experiences fosters inclusivity and a value of difference.
- Culture always exists within context. The circumstances or dynamics surrounding specific events are inextricably linked to the demonstration and interpretation of emotions, behaviors, and beliefs of groups.
